“If Pizza Were a Religion…Welcome to the Cathedral”

Dear Margo,

The world’s best pizza is right here in Phoenix. Pizzeria Bianco has a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Oh my gosh, the location is nearly hidden but, what a gem once you find it. Bianco’s Pizzeria is situated on two sites within Heritage Square. The square has a diverse and rich history as it was the original township in Phoenix dating back to 1870. But, getting to the food, oh-la-la, it is incredible.

Pre-dinner

The magic is in the “pre-dinner” so to speak. The people-watching, the time to catch up, the perusing of the menu to get your glands salivating. The lively energetic, upbeat vibe keeps the night hopping.

Hassle-free valet

Picture this, you pull up and valet park with no hassle. Of course, your parking will be validated later on. The hostess station is positioned outside maybe 60 feet away allowing you to casually stroll up and check your name and reservation.

The experience

After that generally, you will have a 70 -minute experience as you gaze around at the Victorian-style homes, or go next door to Bianco’s other spot to explore the quaint cottage which is nestled inside housing a private bar and indoor/outdoor waiting area. This is otherwise known as Bianco’s extension.

In addition, if that’s not enough, you can also be witness to wonderment as young children, close to Nicole’s age pass by you exiting the Arizona Science Center for possibly the first time. The Science Center is adjacent to the Pizzeria.

Vino

The drinks at Bianco’s are out of this world amazing. If you are looking for something different than the average house wine, look no further. If you want an exotic bottle of vino this is your place. The extensive wine list won’t disappoint. Of course, this is just to prime the pump as you get ready for world-class pizza.

Similarly, do you know the wood furniture you really like? That is what the décor is. I love how the old-world charm radiates all the way down to these fine details. Of course, the huge wood-fired pizza oven is the central focus nearly housing its own quadrant within the small Victorian home.

In other words, being a history buff like you are, you are going to love it! The ambiance provides a slice of tradition inside every bite of the pie.

You have to try the Wiseguy Pizza. The onions are cooked to perfection. They are wood-roasted and placed atop Bianco’s special house-smoked mozzarella. The crust is indescribable. Every bite is flavorful. There are no soggy, chewy, pieces to ever contend with, just heavenly mouthfuls of delight. Also, the crust doesn’t splinter off in your mouth like in some other places. And, the fennel sausage is a game-changer. Once I tried it, I was hooked.

Seriously, don’t take my word for it…the AZ Central reported, “There’s a lot of good pizza out there, but truly great pizza is much harder to find.” The Daily Meal’s 2020 list of, “The 101 Best Pizzas in America” concluded Pizzeria Bianco was number 14! The conclusion to the whole matter is Bianco is doing a lot of things right.

Owner operated

Chef/owner Chris Bianco was awarded the prestigious James Beard award.

Rachael Ray had a contest of pizzerias across the nation and Pizzeria Bianco won the pizza madness bracket.

Chef Bianco has been interviewed by Oprah who determined his pizza is arguably the best, beating out Chicago!

Zagat names Bianco as one of six people who changed pizza forever.

By surefire luck, I have a reservation for tomorrow night. I know you won’t be disappointed; Bianco over-delivers every time I go. Are you able to join me? I can have a Lyft pick you up at 5:00 or 5:30. Which time works better for you?

Oh, and you know the arugula white sauce pizza you always talk about? You can get that here, only it’s 1000 times better! Additionally, if you want a red sauce pizza that is pure tomato-based no added sugar only natural ingredients you can get that too. Either way, they are all absolutely delicious and one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

Garden Grown Produce

As a matter of fact, Chris grows all his own produce in the back of the restaurant. He has a private garden so everything he serves is fresh and delicious.

Make sure and remember to email me tonight so I can confirm plans. I really hope you can join me; I’m buying!

P.S. I’m telling you the smell alone will transport you back to the trip you and Nick went on to Italy.

P.S.S. Once you discover this iconic pizzeria like many others, this will be your spot of choice for all occasions.
